2016 PRCA Rodeo: The final farewell for Miss Rodeo Tehachapi Royalty (2024)

2015 Miss Rodeo Tehachapi, Sara McClaine

Hello everyone, this is Sara McClaine, your 2015 Miss Rodeo Tehachapi. This year has flown by so fast it seems. It has been an honor to represent this amazing rodeo and town all throughout Southern California and Oklahoma at the Royal Rodeo Queen Jackpot. I have so much fun with my girls Sheridan, Brooke and Analyese. They have been so sweet and dedicated to make sure that we represented well. I would have to say that my favorite moments were a toss-up between meeting Trevor Brazile, our all-around world champion at the Norco rodeo, going to Oklahoma for some great learning experiences, riding Biscuit in the Bishop Mule Days Parade, the Kern County Rodeo Queen Pageant and of course there was so much more.

At this point I’m really excited for the last events of the season our wonderful rodeo Aug. 19 to 20, the Salinas rodeo July 20 to 24, our Junior Rodeos July 30 to 31, and of course being able to represent and hopefully do well at the Miss Rodeo California pageant Oct. 5 to 8. I would just like to thank the rodeo committee for taking me in and lending me a helping hand. I got to know so many of you and it really was a pleasure working with you. I would also like to say thank you to Heidi and Mandi for all they do for us girls. They definitely help us every which way; they can especially if it seems like we are in a pickle. To all the sponsors, thank you so much for making his year a reality. Without you it would not have been possible to do so much. And last, but certainly not least, I want to say thank you to my mother. She has done so much for me and is always there for me. She seems to know how to make everything look better. This year has been amazing and I really am looking forward to the Miss Rodeo California pageant. Thank you so much for letting my dreams come true this year and hopefully I’ll see you down the rodeo road.

Never give up; great things can happen!

2015 Junior Miss Rodeo Tehachapi, Brooke Rausch

Representing the Tehachapi Mountain Rodeo Association this year as Jr. Miss Rodeo Tehachapi has truly been one of the best experiences in my life so far and there are so many people that I am so thankful for helping me through this incredible journey. My coordinator Mandi Kissack and the entire Tehachapi Mountain Rodeo committee are the reasons why I was able to have this experience and I want to thank each and every one of them from the bottom of my heart.

I have had a blast representing Tehachapi in rodeos and parades all over, some of my favorite places being Bishop and Norco. One of the most memorable days for me was at the Kern County Museum celebrating the 150th anniversary of Kern County because I was able to help young children there learn how to throw a rope and watch their faces light up, which is one of the best things to see, especially as a rodeo queen. I’ve met so many great people along the way, especially my sister queens and their families who have all been so supportive and helpful. I have gained so much knowledge and have so many fun memories from this year that I am sad to see it end but I am excited for the girls who are now representing Tehachapi because I know it will be a great year for them as it was for me!

2015 Little Miss Rodeo Tehachapi, Sheridan Knight

Welcome to the Tehachapi Mountain Rodeo. I am Sheridan Knight, the reigning 2015 Little Miss Rodeo Tehachapi. I was born and raised in Bakersfield and am currently a freshman at Frontier High School. I enjoy camping with my family, snow/water skiing, playing volleyball, going to brandings, competing in sortings, ranch rodeos and showing my horses at Breed and Open shows throughout the state as well as Arizona and Nevada. I am also a member of the Calloway 4H Club.

What a year this has been. I have been able to represent the TMRA at the California Salinas (Ro-day-o), Kernville, Clovis, Springville, Bishop Mule Days, Bakersfield and Glennville Rodeo as well as many parades. It has been a fun time making memories with Sara, Brooke and Analise and gaining new friendships. Thank you to my parents, the association and each rodeo sponsor for allowing me to pursue my passion while representing them. Although I’m sad my year is over, it has been a ride of a lifetime! Remember, “Life’s a dance you learn as you go, sometimes you lead sometimes you follow.”

Tiny Miss Rodeo Tehachapi 2015, Analise Marguerite Nemecek

I would like to wish a fond farewell to my Tehachapi rodeo family. I had a fun year representing our hometown as Tinny Miss Rodeo Tehachapi. Thank you all for your sponsorships and kindness.

I had so much fun this year riding with the other queens in parades and getting to be a part of our small town rodeos. I have had a wonderful time making so many new friends.

This has been a special experience for me and I would like to encourage more young cowgirls to get involved in our rodeos!
